During laparoscopic surgery, COz gas is used to inflate the patient's abdomina cavity to operate instruments within the patient's body. Insufflation equipmentused in endoscopic surgery may be contaminated by airflow from the air reservoir or by previous patients. The use of gas filters helps protect blowing equipment from the many types of debris that may occur during normal gas delivery. The filter also protects the insufflator if abdominal fluid or debris flows back into the line. Zhenfu hydrophobic glass fiber filter has a bacterial filtration rate of 99.999%, meeting the filtration efficiency requirements of ULPA. Hydrophobic fiberglass devices meet or exceed HEPA filtration efficiency requirements. The high bacterial filtration rates of these filters help prevent cross-contamination of patients and equipment.
