Product Description

The HME filters are indicated for use with patients whose upper airways are being bypassed by an artificial tracheal airway or receiving artificial ventilator support. The main construction of the HME filter is hme paper or sponge, which collects and utilizes heat and moisture in the exhaled breath to warm and humidify the inhaled gas, maintaining a constant temperature and humidity in the respiratory tract. Usually it is also matched with electrostatic cotton to filter bacteria/viruses.
